Beat 'em ups became arcade hits with a very simple promise: push the joystick to the right, let enemies swarm you from every angle, and start mashing buttons. Double Dragon, Final Fight, Golden Axe... classics built on a straightforward but unforgettable formula. That spirit is still alive here, even if the wrapping is more varied: brawls in anime-style worlds, cities from any era, and of course, the usual streets packed with trouble waiting to be cleaned up.
